Great Sky Cash is a Native American lending company that specializes in lending money on a short-term basis. That is, they specialize in giving out small loans for a very small amount of time.
Actually, it's giving the company quite a bit of credit to say that they "specialize" in anything. The only thing this firm does is provide short-term, payday loans to consumers who normally have very bad credit and no credit at all. By the way, if you have a Great Sky Cash loan and you don't have bad credit, then you're making a big mistake by even filling out the loan application with this lender, much less actually taking out a loan with them.
The template for Great Sky Cash is now an old one but it's a model that just doesn't seem to get old for the tribes that operate these online lending outlets. The scale of the loan is almost always the same and it once again does not deviate here with this company.
Great Sky Cash offers loans ranging from $300 to $1,000 but as usual you have to be an exceptional customer to qualify for that $1,000 mark. Most customers (applicants) will top out around the $800 level for their available credit. The minimum amount to borrow is $300.
The length of the loan is constant. It's roughly 14 days, and that can vary based on when the applicant requests the loan. If the borrower's payday is more than five days away then they will wind-up with a shorter term loan that might be as little as 10 calendar days. If they apply when their payday is a few days away then they'll get something like a 19 day loan.
Wow, 19 whole days to have someone else's money. It doesn't seem like it should cost that much since 19 days isn't a very long time, right? That would be wrong. It is extremely expensive to borrow from Great Sky or any of the tribal lenders.
Here's one more gem for you. Great Sky Cash is the same as Lakota Cash. They are both created from, and are administered by, the exact same tribal organization. That means the funding source is identical and the terms that you can expect to get are the exact same as that of Lakota Cash. The other thing that is strange is that sometimes when I've clicked on Great Sky Cash you will actually be forwarded to the Lakota Cash page. So you know there is zero difference between the two companies when they are willing to simply toss you over to their similar firm.
There's just not much one can expect from Great Sky Cash. There's nothing great, and there is nothing to do with the sky. There is something to do with cash, you will probably get a little bit of that. But the cost of procuring those funds with this lender will not be worth the time spent or the cost of the interest rates. The finance fees are better over at a firm like Mobiloans. You can look at Native American lenders such as Great Plains Lending or Clear Creek Lending as well. You can borrow more money for less cost. Lower finance fees mean more money in your pocket and that's for the immediate future, as in the next two weeks. This isn't some esoteric savings program, you will save yourself money.
Great Sky Cash gets a pass from me, that's my personal feeling on this lender.
