If you remember Gentle Breeze (sometimes they had the term Gentle Breeze Loans or Gentle Breeze Lending) they were a large, popular Native American loan company back in 2008 to 2012. The thing that set Gentle Breeze apart from most other tribal lenders was that they were around when the financial crisis hit back in late 2008.
Another way of putting Gentle Breeze in perspective was that there were two large tribal lenders back when the collapse was underway, and those two firms were Western Sky Financial and Gentle Breeze Loans. Now let's set aside the Western Sky Financial story for a minute and focus on Gentle Breeze.
So at this site, we've been picking on, criticizing, and generally we've been dismissive on the Native American lending marketplace. And why not? The loans are easy to get but they are so unaffordable it's hard to see anyone considering them a quality loan product. But on occasion there is something good to be said about these companies. I've providing some good marks for Mobiloans and also for Spotloan, so it's not like the coverage has been 100% negative.
On the internet, I think this site was truly the only place (other than United States Federal Court filings, where the US Govt has been battling with Native American tribes for over a decade), where you would find the consistent criticism and analysis of these tribal lenders.
And this is what brings us back to the 'fake' Gentle Breeze loan website. On that website, which I am purposefully not going to link to, they pose at first as an online loan company. But as you read through their website they start doing what this website does - which is complaining that the quality of these loans are not very good. And they even use the same type of language that is used as this website. It's really quite odd, below is one of the paragraphs that appears on their site...
"Now, let us sum up Gentle Breeze cons. First of all, customer service is very bad (judging by user reviews). Secondly, Gentle Breeze loans are very expensive. This loan company has one of the highest interest rates available on the market! If you have found yourself in a pickle and you urgently need a short-term loan to cover unexpected expenses, we would recommend you to stay away from this lender. There are many other lenders that offer payday loans on softer terms. If you do not have time to look for another lender, use services of Gentle Breeze at your own risk!"
These guys are hilarious! They used the same lingo from this site, such as 'finding yourself in a pickle' and 'use these services at your own financial risk' and 'there are many other lenders with softer interest rates' and 'stay away from this lender' - just really uncanny that whoever designed this page decided to uses so many coincidental references to the work here. Have to believe they read through the talking points here and decided to then attempt to make some money by lifting the warnings and jargon from this community and then dropping it into their own webpage that tried to mimic the (now defunct) Gentle Breeze Lending site.
This is probably very boring to you out there who are trying to get a loan and I get that, sorry. But I just had to make mention that this had happened. Just really awkward, talk about the least worthwhile website on the internet - a fake Native American lending website that used language and info from an almost equally low relevance page!
